Life In Circle 11th November 2025
I decided to make two circles with natural materials as loose tea leaves and wooden orchid coarse (soil) mix them with glue, tried to support to make a good shape with wood and spatula. Also egg shell, wool, orange peel.

The aim is using the circle for spinning wheel if i cut and open the central circle area, the process is still going on.
I haven’t finish the spinning wheel as i only cut and made a shape of the bottom platform with Philippe and sadly he hurt himself accidentally while using cutting machine, i changed the decision for now i stopped.
If i create the spinning wheel it would be the main exhibition piece that reflects on my aunts painting below. This is what i response with using natural materials and wood on her artwork.
Life On Wheel-13th November 2025-Also i imagined and created another circle with wool, egg shell and orange peel to make a conceptual artworks which reflects on my subjects as life continue.I spelt the glue on the surface and put the pieces gently as egg shells are sensitive easy broken or damage rather than the orange peels. I thought this circle might be the another wheel part however didn’t get any decision.

On 17th December 2025 @Wood Room I learnt how to make a charcuterie board with David. Using machines needs to support with a technician and tutor together, so I first created the shape on a paper, tried to cut, made some curves and make it smooth with tools and machines.I dream if i make a spinning wheel thread with curves so i need to find out how i design and make it. I have asked David if he can bring me a Mdf for start.I took it and asked Philippe to support me.Thanks God!

Spinning Wheel-Start with sketches on October and the process still going on

A quick sketch with oil pastel on canvas

5th February 2026

The body and identity of the spinning wheel contact between desperation keeps a hope within, that’s why my aunt’s paintings express also the distance between herself and her flesh.
For my art work on short time and long time, i plan to create a spinning wheel, before that i draw a sketch 2 circles on a wood surface just to see the silhouette. For short time i have to finish so far for the submission mission then i will improve the practice for long term that is more important than submission and will do more paintings or sketches.
I had a mini chat with Matt today 22nd and he openned my mind as i can create kinetic art as we searched “hobby motor for kinetic art”will buy it for exhibition.
“Hope” is my another part of my subject. On my ceramic course i made a ball with random holes with sustainable mould. Shaping ball is really hard but with Yuki -my tutor- supported for shaping and i used ceramic tool for some open and blocked holes. For blocked holes i didn.t push the tool through i thought denied access , refuse inside and remember what is inside the body, what should remain hidden, failed transparency. For open holes i directly push and round and round the tool get the piece in to make a hole.
I give a name on this sculpture name as “Hope” and bought a led light, put it inside for the soul reflecting my subject as ‘the inner light’ may hope of our life.
20th November 2025 Plaster Mould -Alginate
I prepared alginate powder mixed with water .Using alginate is not toxic material as dentists use for forming teeth.I put my two fingers and waited 3-4 Minutes then leave fingers gently.

13th December 2025 I shaped around and getting smaller with the ceramic tool-peeler- The method is using only one way to peel.

This is the shape i peeled and the fingers are more visible

22nd November 2025 Sustainable Molding and Slip Casting-at North Kensington -Tutor Yuki Nakamura

Before i glazed i do some cracks with ceramic sharp tool for lines randomly.I feel confident when i use irregular lines without pushing hard also the tool is so sharp might be dangerous.

I glazed the ball owen blue the plan is glazing more than one blue color when it dry and fired i glazed again with oxidised celadon to look cracks on it.I peeld with the yellow tool to make better lines.

2nd February 2026

22 November 2025 @North Kensington with tutor Yuki Yakamura: On my “Sustainable Mould Making and Slip Casting” Course I decided to design natural object as two porcelain lemons that relates my subject life and death through process of preservation decay and transformation.
I prepared lemon for casting as sealing, designed two parts mould. For sustainability check i had to minimize mould volume then i build containment walls, pour first half of a two part mould (porcelain)
I learnt how to do undercut, how i built effective mould structures.

I poured the second half of two-part moulds removing the original model and cleaned seam lines.Mixed and prepared slip as porcelain. It’s important to pour slip into plaster mould, timing for draining and forming walls.

13th December 2025 Slip and timing between casts mould sticking
Finishing technique is seam trimming with soft leather-hard cleanup
When plaster sets, it can reach temperature of around 104F-140F
For sustainability and safety spotlight; water filtration, reclaiming scrap slip i learnt.Only mix what i need because plaster cannot be reused once it sets and never pour plaster down drains causing severe blokages.

“I have been to hell and back. And let me tell you, it was wonderful. Louise Bourgeois
I inspired by one of my research Bourgeois’s expression of anguish with its mouth fixed open to let out cry for help and created a head with recognizably as a human mouth is compressed not dramatic but existential.I decided to make a head then changed and get a decision of two faces on one head so i played a lot before i found my right way. Before i transformed this head sculpture it might look quiet depressive then i created two different faces below.
13th December 2025 transformed to 15th December
I would try different ceramic techniques as raku or and glazing techniques as ash glazing. For the dynamic figure in clay, sculpt a head, (if need water-based), focusing on gesture , volume, proportions and anatomy. Also i would add my process wire, may be thread or stitching. This time i preferred using stoneware clay for fire and prefer to glaze with ash after all. I have concern if i find an available kiln and ash for ash glazing after apply charcoal or graphite powder because it’s a different technique.(Process is still going on)

I used stone rock moulding, the process is still continue when finish and dry i will request from Yuki to put it to the kiln then glaze then use the kiln for fired. For me this identity speaks to loss of self existing at borders as skin, mouth, eyes. This head has two faces different from each other as sad and opposite.
Two faces-Two Emotions connects with failure, asymmetry.Eyes are open but not communicative, when you look on left face it doesn’t look at the viewer, try to say something may be.
Rather than presenting clear emotional expression, inspired by Power Of Horror , the subject caught between coherence and collapse.
Final Decision:30th January 2026 (Will glaze it Mid February at North Kensington)

I really enjoyed while making this development as make conceptual mould casting.I made a thick board with cracks conceptual structure with texture that i love a lot.If by any chance, prefer to use the tool like hammer i could made loads of cracks and texture with needles however it might be risk for my assignment may be in the future i can transform. For now, i will use it like a platform for my small sculptures.
First i shaped the mould, filled with plaster, used less water more plaster like a cream, prepare walls carefully not to drop outside, used a cling film around and waited then took the clay off of negative shape, clean with a brush preferably use natural soap and clean the sculpture gently.
11th December 2025 -Waxing

I made three different shapes informal, unstable and not related between each other as broken objects are on the same platform also points of collapse on the same zone.
I hope to touch identity with nature to respond my aunt’s paintings, i explored through a deep connection with nature environment as inspired by Claude Cahun, 1931 The surrealist photographer , writer and political activist presents identities within landscape as i try to mention identity / body can do anything with nature is safety.
I do this sculpture using with wax as semi-translucent, on a wax tray which was cracked with dried leaves as connect with two different material relates each other. The was feels me a skin and leaves are organic, quite decay, already dead. Ceramic face is an object as much formed shape as i did name on it ‘creepy face ‘ inspired by Powers Of Horror, paraffin is soft, so these materials are not horrific but unsettling relates to abjection.
11th December 2025 Waxing leaves

Niv supported me how to use paraffin wax machine as after wax melted, i put melted wax into the tray carefully, after a little bit cool, i shaped it to the circle with my finger then put the leaves inside and try to make a shape properly.
I may use wax with leaves for creepy face on top in the future as i am still doing my ceramic course with Yuki at North Kensington.
I quite enjoy with these different materials with creating a story of my project so the boundaries fail, unstable. Honestly, this work either becomes sophisticated or illustrative so i tried to handle the materials with the subject relationship carefully.

29th November 2025 Shaping my creepy face with stoneware clay it means it can fire and it is sustainable

6th December 2025 – Fired

When i created this small head; ‘çreepy face’, first i thought it might have different faces as i made some holes randomly first then planned how it looks creepy from looking different ways.Even it has loads of small and big holes, might have different faces from every way as scary, creepy some how sad. This face holes are crucial as abjection is the body being undone. So this feels me unstable environment.
As our conversation with Lara, she advised me to use mannequin for casting body part as i did a face with texture.
9th January 2026 Started to apply modroc after using vaseline
Applied 4 times mod roc to the mannequin

15th January 2026 -Drying-

Applied vaseline a lot to remove mask easily

I cut the mask from sides for not using full face and used 3 different yellow acrylic colors mix with white then cut natural straws to get smaller to apply one side of the conceptually and materially.Using this material meant to me fails of a face; that is collapsing into matter which means “abjection”.

I applied gently textured slightly across the face boundary because this experiment is not decoration, it is contamination.I used my thumb press for scrape for the clean side not textured because that side is intact. This experiment concept through Julia Kristeva’s “Powers of Horror” evoking discomfort through material collapse rather than horror.
I have created a ceramic artwork an organic folding and twisting form as something between body part or organ becomes erosion or something living.I did some mark making such as scars, lines, wrinkles and holes the sense of alive or fragility.
6th December 2025 at North Kensington Tutor:Yuki Nakamura

I glazed first with Contem-Lime Green then technician put it on kiln when it fired it looked matte.
I didn’t like and then glazed twice for bright shining and yellowish with sea green
First Glazing 10th January

Second glazing with Sea Green – Fired 26th January 2026

I learnt knitting when i was a little child from my grandma however i have never knit a wire.I used 0.4mm copper wire and my grandma’s skewers and tried to normal knit.It is quite short and when finished 50 knots i put it on a thick wire first to open and fix the empty areas. It looks a little bit crazy i know.I really like aesthetically and will use it for my small creepy head like “Attractiveness of Repulsion”.
10th January 2026

18th January 2026 continue knitting

6th February 2026 Joint sides

Before beginning of my aunts trees i looked very carefully and tried to understand how i respond to her.Because this is a very sensitive subject as i hear her voice from her paintings. This is the dialogue between the colors glowing strong tension between yellows and oranges where despair begins to transform into creativity. Her brush strokes are loose and layered (especially on yellow tree)
I painted more warmth and darkness, darker greens and reds. The fabric surface absorbs paint and acrylic is drying quickly so as to layered loosely, allowing marks to remain visible.
Both have emotional exposure and fragile boundary between despair and transformation.
First i tried on my sketchbook , did a color plate on it.
13th January 2026 Acrylic on Sketchbook

14th January 2026 Acrylic on Fabric

Final piece of my artwork.I feel confident to use mixing colors and using fabric. The only concern i have frame as need to fix inside or outside of the frame.
15th January 2026 Finalized

This piece is my final piece for now as i have painted acrylic on cardboard explores memory, material layering and fragmentation.
The surface is built using modelling paste mixed with yellow, blue acrylic colors and sycamore tree seeds which i really like textures that resists smoothness. The problem is cardboard ‘s sides are looking old that i found it from graveyard, cleaned it however the shape is not flat so my big concern how i present with or without frame not to show the sides to everyone.
The sycamore seeds are organic, growth and decay so the reflect on my subject as despair not as an endpoint but as a condition from which creativity can emerge.
My response rather than an imitation , allowing my aunt’s language to be transformed into my own material expression.
I played with the colors as yellow, blue, white also to make a green colors crucial role in the work.Muted blues and greens dominated the surface.Areas of thicker paint and dripping forms suggest loss of control, suggest emotional weight so surface invites viewers close and can see seeds suffering.
I cut some of the pictures and put them randomly without touching the thicker paints and fixed tops with acrylic on them.
I felt confident not to loose her paintings colors with my colors also related on cardboard.
