Conceptual Practice Evaluation

On my critic I showed my calligraphy based work using the letters B and Basak appears to explore abstraction, form, and possibly personal or cultural identity. The composition has a dynamic  with organic lines that give it an expressive, and surreal feel. The concept clear to my friends or tutors. They liked my creative artworks. It is about language, identity, or structure, additional context (titles, artist statements) could strengthen its meaning. The use of etching techniques creates a layered effect. The contrast of negative and positive space adds depth. This choice effectively supports the abstracted of the letters.

Also with my tutors ,friends and monoprint tutor  we agreed that my work surrealist explorations of typography and abstraction. The lines and abstracted letterforms recall early Futurist typography, where artists experimented with letters as dynamic forms. All my peers also engaged with letter-based abstraction. Some may focus on legibility, while my work deconstructs letterforms, making it more conceptual.

My pieces on my sketchbook also monoprint trials effectively challenges traditional letter structures and presents an abstract, almost industrial aesthetic. Strengthening the connection between concept and execution—perhaps through accompanying text—could make the message more direct. It stands within the tradition of conceptual and experimental typography while offering a distinct, personal approach.

The concept of my artwork I focused on natural elements, tradition, and transformation. Wheat and grain symbolize sustainability, agriculture.Coffee introduces themes of cultural rituals. The use of wood organic, historical connection, growth, harvest also I tried to carve and I believe the concept is strong, but off course it depends my friends and tutors perspective.

The choice of wheat, grain, and coffee as primary materials. The wood shows traditional base however, the visual balance could be refined I mean contrasting textures.

This artwork connects to Arte Povera as natural materials to challenge the conventions of fine art.

In comparison to other conceptual works, this piece leans into material symbolism

The work effectively conveys themes of sustenance, history, and transformation through its materials. It could be strengthened by refining the composition or incorporating additional elements to engagement.
